Adah and Aaron are recovering drug addicts who are struggling to stay sober but after meeting in their psychoanalyst’s waiting room, they fall in love, relapse and become the biggest assholes in New York City.

SATURDAY, NOV. 11

THE LANDING (11:00AM.)  83min.  Documentary/Science/Mystery

In the summer of 1973, one of the most disturbing episodes of the space race went almost unnoticed as Watergate consumed attention on Earth.  Revisit Apollo 18, the last moon exploration mission, with this engaging documentary that reads more like a Twilight Zone episode than a historic recording.  A special Q&A will follow!

INFINITY BABY (1:30PM)  72min.  Comedy/Witty/Sci-Fi

Set in the Future, the recently founded Infinity Baby company offers babies that do not age.

A TASTE OF INK (3:30PM)  80min.  Drama/Family/Coming of Age

Colorado/East of California Premiere.  Vincent hasn’t lived a third of his life yet, but he’s already tattooed half of his body and hoarsened his voice with his post-hardcore band.  Since his mother died, he shares his time between a piercer job he’s not happy with and a fishmonger father trying to start a new life with a younger woman.  And it’s driving him insane.

THE SQUARE (6:00PM) 140min.  Comedy/Black Humor/Drama

Winner of the 2017 Palme d’Or at Cannes.  Christian is the respected curator of a contemporary art museum, a divorced but devoted father of two who drives an electric car and supports good causes. His next show is “The Square”, an installation which invites passersby to altruism, reminding them of their role as responsible fellow human beings. But sometimes, it is difficult to live up to your own ideals: Christian’s foolish response to the theft of his phone drags him into shameful situations. Meanwhile, the museum’s PR agency has created an unexpected campaign for ”The Square”. The response is overblown and sends Christian, as well as the museum, into an existential crisis.

STATIC AGE (9:00PM)  62min.  Experimental/Comedy/Surreal

An idling creator of “video transgressions” ponders art and reality with his drug dealers and slacker friends in a scrambled, postmodern world.

SUNDAY, NOV. 12

SHORTS PROGRAM (11:00AM.)  80min.

Something Wild presents five shorts in a variety of genres, styles and media.  See the page for details.

THE STRANGE ONES (1:00PM)  81min.  Thriller/Drama/Mystery

Mysterious events surround two travelers as they make their way across a remote American landscape. On the surface all seems normal, but what appears to be a simple vacation soon gives way to a dark and complex web of secrets.

AIM FOR THE ROSES (3:00PM)  102min.  Documentary/Musical/Drama

A “musical docudrama” by John Bolton, inspired by the utterly amazing and completely ridiculous album by Mark Haney, inspired by the daredevil stunt to end all daredevil stunts by Ken Carter.  You have to see this documentary to believe it!

THIRST STREET (5:00PM)  83min.  Dramedy/Romance

Gina, an American flight attendant, falls in with a Parisian bartender on a layover only to find herself tangled in a web of deception, delusion and unrequited amour fou.
